RO-RA proudly announces its first won order in the rail industry. In mid-2020, the company decided to strategically realign itself and break new ground. In addition to the expansion of the three business areas in the aviation industry, the focus is also on entering new markets.
In recent years, RO-RA has steadily expanded its competencies in aerospace for civil aircraft, helicopters and business jets. The business areas Rods, High Precision Components and Mechanisms are the main areas in which RO-RA is active in the aerospace industry. The Company offers its customers constructive, individual and precise solutions, which show great potential in further mobile markets.
For this reason, RO-RA wants to expand its horizons in the existing business fields. For this purpose, the competences from the aviation industry are to be used for positioning in further mobile markets. Thus, RO-RA will also inspire other markets with its products and technologies in the future.
The entry into the rail industry
With the first order at the beginning of 2021, RO-RA succeeded in entering the rail vehicle sector. Functional rods will be manufactured for the first customer. Our rods developed for the aviation industry can be adapted very well for trains and will also find their place here in the future.

RO-RA sees a wide range of applications and great potential in rail vehicles with their products and technologies. The company’s goal here is to inspire rail vehicle manufacturers with specific applications in the area of Rods and High Precision Components. These areas will be further addressed in the next steps in order to gain a foothold as a manufacturer and technological partner in the rail vehicle industry.
Furthermore, RO-RA also sees an opportunity for products from the Rods and Mechanisms business areas that are used in train cabs. The focus here will be on solutions for rail vehicles with galleys, toilets and stowage boxes.
