MATERIAL SCIENCE & PROCESS OPTIMIZATION IN AIRCRAFT CONSTRUCTION
RO-RA OFFERS A HIGH VARIETY OF DIFFERENT MATERIALS
MACHINING OF HIGH-STRENGTH STEELS & NICKEL-BASED ALLOYS ARE ESSENTIAL CORE COMPETENCIES
We machine a large number of different materials and alloys for aircraft cabin and structural applications as well as engine components and maintain intensive cooperation with our raw material supply partners. The machining of high-strength steels and nickel-based alloys is one of our core competencies, which we are constantly optimizing in close cooperation with our tool suppliers.
The aircraft of the future will be developed completely digitally and will be linked much more intensively to the environment. RO-RA is already developing measures to meet the requirements of economic sustainability.
DIGITAL PROCESS STABILITY IN OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
OPTIMIZATION OF THE PRODUCTION PROCESS THROUGH DATA MANAGEMENT
In the future, aircraft will be manufactured by means of networked semi-automated production in which man and machine communicate seamlessly with each other. Products will be manufactured according to demand, self-learning processes will minimize costs while maintaining consistently high quality. For efficient operation, lean, largely fully automated data management is required. One of the success factors is to exploit the enormous volume of data in production for the ongoing and consistent optimization of the production process.
The basis for efficient production processes is a high stability and fulfillment quality of the company’s workflows. These prerequisites are given at RO-RA by a consequent validation and further development.
