PUSH AND PULL RODS FOR AIRCRAFT CABINS

RO-RA manufactures a variety of different versions of push and pull rods for various applications in the aircraft cabin. The integrated shock absorbing brackets with fastening clamps guarantee a reliable and durable connection of the components.

The innovative interior ratchet system used for interior tie rods allows for length adjustment when installed, thus promoting ergonomic and cost-efficient assembly. At the same time, the adjustment range of 25.4mm minimizes the number of variants and one product can be used for several applications, as it covers a variable length range.

STRUCTURAL CONNECTION ELEMENTS AND FLIGHT CONTROL KINEMATIC FUNCTIONS

Our structural tie rods tube ends are shaped to size by cold forming. Thanks to years of experience in the rotary swaging process, we can achieve optimum strength with the lowest possible weight. Subsequent heat treatment (soft annealing, solution annealing and ageing) of our aluminium structural tie rods with a high level of swaging guarantees the required final strength of the components.

SMART STRUCTURAL TIE RODS WITH MEASURING AND PRESSURE SENSORS

Functional structural tie rods take on additional functions in addition to their main task of connecting two parts. Integrated measuring and pressure sensors permanently transmit signals that provide feedback on the load on the structural tie rod, while flexible rods, on the other hand, contain a telescopic mechanism that allows length adjustment in areas that can no longer be covered by the inner ratchet system.

INDIVIDUAL SOLUTIONS FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

In addition to the push-pull rod as a complete assembly, we also offer individual solutions for threaded adapter ends, for example, in composite applications. RO-RA adapter ends are available in aluminium, steel or titanium and are manufactured with highest precision on our machining centers.

The range of applications is varied and include: cabin systems, assemblies in wings and fuselage, control rods in the horizontal and vertical stabilizers as well as in the engine. In addition, two independent, integrated anti-turn devices offer significant time savings during installation on the assembly lines of our customers. The combination of these innovations and different designs of the connection ends (fork end, rod end) allows us to develop an individual solution for each customer.
